The role and functions of the Finance Department of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi is laid down by the President of India in exercise of powers under Section 44 of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi Act 1991 by promulgating the Govt. of NCT of Delhi (Allocation of Business) Rules 1993.
